C4 Brings Back Charlie Brooker’s Comedy Quiz Show

LONDON: Channel 4 has greenlit a second season of Have You Been Watching, in which writer, comedian and Guardian columnist Charlie Brooker quizzes three guests on the week’s TV highlights.

The first season achieved an average of 1.4 million viewers. The series features the highs and lows of TV, with Booker presenting his unique take on shows that command the greatest following. Have You Been Watching is produced by Endemol UK’s comedy arm Zeppotron, with executive producers Richard Osman and Ruth Phillips.

Darren Smith, the commissioning editor for comedy and entertainment at Channel 4, said, “Charlie’s uniquely comic voice is a perfect fit on Channel 4. I’m looking forward to him becoming a big part of our comedy entertainment output in 2010.”

Zeppotron’s managing director, Annabel Jones, added: “I am delighted that Channel 4 still want to commit to a second series following Charlie’s triumph over two small children at the Comedy Awards. Now he’s beaten them he goes on to meet a stuffed owl and a baby swan in the European Finals.”
